Mission Statement

Fostering the behavioral health morale of the community by enhancing the quality of life of residents and utilizing a multi-discipilinary approach.

Organization Purpose

To Serve as an Advocacy Center for Children, Elderly, and Disabled Persons, and a comprehensive, multi-service Counseling, Resource and Wellness Center for children, families, individuals, couples, and victims in Plaquemines Parish

To Increase public and private financial support through grants and funds development to enhance the overall capacity of the CARE Center in serving the multi-faceted needs of families and children in Plaquemines Parish in a comprehensive, effective and coordinated manner.

To Provide high quality services to the residences of Plaquemines Parish.

Areas Addressed in Counseling:
Relationships, Anger, Depression, Self-Esteem, Abuse / Violence, School / Educational / Career, Adjustments (to anything!), ADHD, Anxiety, Phobias, Parenting, Divorce

Other Services Available:
Tutoring, Parenting / Cooperative Parenting Groups, Counseling in area schools.

Raising Confident, Competent Children

Seminar for parents of children 0-12 Years


The seminar will focus on emotional and social skills children need to thrive at home, school, and in the community. Seminar participants will learn ways to help children: Learn to treat others with respect, Be considerate, Have good communication and social skills, Develop healthy self-esteem, Become good problem solvers, and Become independent.

Mr. Ron Elder

Mr. Ron Elder with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services is at the C.A.R.E. Center every Monday from 9am to 12pm.

He can assist anyone in need of State services such as:

  1. Childcare Assistance Program
  2. Family Independence Program
  3. Kinship Care Program
  4. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
